Accomplishments

As a proud father of four, I love to teach and pass on my inspirations and experiences to keep the family's heritage alive. "My children teach me something new about life all the time, they inspire me to be a better example to them and others. Love is what we share the most, family unity is our example".  Sharing the language of love through Life Crest Designs, here are some of my accomplishments.

Space for Species - Developed by the Canadian Space Agency, the Canadian Wildlife Federation, The Canada Centre for Remote Sensing, and the Canadian Wildlife Service, with assistance from corporate sponsors, Space for Species is a Web-based learning program that brings science and technology to life.

Through Space for Species, you can explore the role of satellite telemetry, remote sensing, astronaut observations, and weather satellites in wildlife conservation. All these "eyes in the sky," in combination, provide a panoramic view of wild wayfarers.

You will create migration maps, record climatological and habitat data, and keep your own field notes as part of a tracking journal, science project, or even a recovery plan.

You can explore the role of scientific inquiry in conservation, get acquainted with me, Bob Thirsk, and an array of other experts, and learn about careers in the field where space and species meet.

STS-78 Columbia Space Shuttle Crew Patch - Designing the STS-78 Columbia Space Shuttle Crew Patch worn by the astronauts of the Columbia Mission in July 1996 was one of the best moments in my life. Also provided NASA with Gold pendants used for testing at zero gravity. Bob Thirsk, a Canadian astronaut, wore a crest personally designed for him.  Click here for more info.

Tallest Totem Pole - A totem pole 54.94-m (180-ft 3-in) tall, known as the Spirit of Lekwammen ("Land of the Winds"), was raised on August 4, 1994 at Victoria, British Columbia, Canada prior to the Commonwealth Games taking place there. On August 26, 1997 the pole was partially dismantled for safety reasons.

Celebrating Our Heritage: Traditional Native American Crafts and Activities: illustrated by Bill Helin - "As both an activity book and an introduction to Native American culture, Celebrating Our Heritage: Traditional Native American Crafts and Activities, written by Arlette N. Braman and illustrated by Bill Helin, is a welcome addition to any classroom. Braman was careful to avoid any activities that involve objects sacred to Native Americans."

Theme for Indian Motorcycle Los Angeles - Created a unique theme for motorcycle enthusiasts based on the ever popular "Life Crests".  The first in the series "The Mystery Chief" was purchased by Indian Motorcycle Los Angeles

An appearance on the Life Networks #1 hit show featuring "Journey of Ravensong" - In the spring of 1994 I began work on my dream, the result of which is a forty foot canoe, "Raven Song". "Raven Song" joined the First Nations Canoe Regatta on the journey to the Victoria XV Commonwealth Games.
